Art Jam 2007
The T.W. Sullivan Hydroelectric plant in West Linn was the site of our first Art Jam, May 21-22, 2007, and John Foyston, Oregonian writer, produced a nice article on the event for the Oregonian's May 23 Metro front page.
Participating Artists:
Mark Rupert
Matthew Letzelter
Jamee Linton
Martha Wilcox
Lisa Wilcox
Laura Foster
Jonnel Covault
The art that these wonderful artists produced as a result of our 'jam' has now opened at the West Linn Library, running through September 28th.
Our artists' reception is from 2-4 on Sunday, September 9, at the Library Gallery, with public welcome and VIPS invited.
The Sullivan collection will move to the Providence Milwaukie gallery on October 9th for a three-month stay.
Come and see this exciting collection, depicting our historic hyropower plant in oils, acrylic, silk, charcoal and photographic prints--
"Art Contemplates Industry."
The Sullivan Art Jam and this show have been sponsored and supported by the Willamette Falls Heritage Foundation, Portland General Electric in-kind contributions and a grant from the West Linn Arts Commission. Special thanks to Lynette Meadows, librarian, for her invaluable assistance.
